“I am a professional printmaker so the majority of my time involves operating heavy etching presses and using silkscreens. Inking and editioning prints requires the same repetitive actions, so over the past ten years I have been doing untold damage to my poor old body!
The wear and tear on my back, shoulders and neck was significant! The build up of tightening muscles and tendons that audibly cracked were not only having an impact on my sleeping patterns, but just my general quality of life, as the limited range of movement and general discomfort was constant.
In my first appointment, Lillian had easily identified where the most problematic areas were and began to work her magic! She has concentrated on those areas combining deep tissue massage that have helped to untie all of the deepest knots, through to pulling and stretching out tendons that have become restricted over time.
She has also made useful suggestions of what exercises I should focus on in order to help myself after a long day of printing and I really like getting her emails during the week. They have great nuggets of wisdom, which we all know, but tend not to apply to ourselves. It’s a bit like having a good mate checking up on you, reminding you how to look after yourself!

“Prior to working with Lillian, I had been going to the gym on a regular basis since 1999, doing various classes, but not seeing much change in my body. I had little confidence when it came to how my body looked and I felt fat! I needed to lose weight and firm up. I also had a condition known as Vertigo, which was affecting my balance and sleep.
I didn’t have any reservations about working with Lillian, as I knew she was good at what she does.
Working with Lillian has been very good, informative and supportive. I’ve achieved more than what I could have achieved and definitely far more than what I have done during the years of going to the gym.
One of the best results I’ve had since from working with Lillian is I am now able to put on clothes that I never had the confidence to wear before. I felt fat, so I didn’t want to wear the clothes I had, but now I have the confidence to wear them.
I have less Vertigo symptoms. I now know how to naturally control any symptoms that arise and I’m sleeping much better at night. I use to sleep with two pillows to stop the Vertigo symptoms from keeping me awake, but now I happily sleep with one pillow throughout the night.
Other positive results I’ve noticed are: my waist and hips have shrunk, my confidence has gone up, I feel motivated to get up in the mornings, and workout and I have a better understanding about my eating, and how to organise my food.
Lillian taught me how to slow down my exercises, as I use to rush everything. Now I can go slower, I feel more in control and can breathe easily.
I feel like I have a goal to move towards with my health, body and fitness, rather than just going through the same motions, going to the gym and doing the same things over, and over again. I now have a new direction and new tools to help me get to my goal quicker, and faster!

“Before going to Lillian for the first time I was about to retire and had joined a gym because I was worried about merging into a sofa. However I was also on arthritis medication and tramadol (morphine) for bone and muscle pain in the middle of the night. My shoulders were tight and I needed help to put my coat on. Kneeling was a thing of the past as I needed to use my forearms to lever myself up as my wrists were agony.
So I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try a massage to loosen up. I knew Lillian from the changing room at the local gym, so asked if she thought she could help me and she said, “maybe”. She lied! After the first massage I went home and snuggled up on the sofa and miraculously slept through the night with NO medication. Within 6 months I was off medication altogether! I didn’t have arthritis in my shoulders and wrists and knees. I had tight muscles because I hadn’t been using them enough. The results have been permanent.

“Before working with Lillian, I was attending the gym frequently, but not getting any signs of change. I was still feeling bloated, sluggish and hungry, food was always on my mind, even when I was working out. I needed to make a change somewhere in my life starting with my diet. I found that when I ate certain foods I was having hot flushes and felt tired once I consumed them. Help was needed!
Though I wanted to work with Lillian, my first and main objection was affordability, as I was already spending on gym subscription and Personal Training else where. Also my personal timetable and work schedule proves difficult to work around. I realised that I was making excuses, so I justified it to myself and took on board Lillian’s services, which I am glad I did.
The process has been informative, a little repetitive at times, but this is a good way of drumming in the facts and helping one transform their way of thinking, and doing things, which can be very hard to do when one is going through a change process, it’s challenging to encompass all the emotions that come with it. I never did this before and although I sometimes get this wrong, i.e., I over/under prepare sometimes, however I am working on the correct formula.
