Maybe you’re doing well in your business, job, career, but your body looks and feels like rubbish! You know you would benefit greatly from exercising regularly, eating healthy foods and generally taking better care of yourself, but the excuses of, “I don’t have time”, “I don’t know what to do”, “I’ll get round to it one day”, “I don’t want to give up my favourite foods and drink”, and on and on is your tune.
Maybe you consider you’re already healthy and you’ve no need to exercise or eat healthy. Who wants to eat carrot sticks and eat leaves anyway….?
I thought so too. Ate what I wanted. Exercised goodness knows how many hours a week. Had a busy lifestyle where I was teaching private clients, exercise classes and running three busy massage clinics. I thought I was strong, fit and my body could handle anything. Until one day I realised I couldn’t shake off the fog that was in my head. What was that about? Maybe I was tired and just needed to rest, so I told myself. Until one day I realised my legs felt like lead. Okay, maybe I just need to stretch more and I’ll be alright… Until one day I realised I wasn’t performing well in my classes or in my own workouts. Now I definitely need a holiday, I thought…Until one day I realised depression had come back and it was a struggle to get out of bed. Hmmm….this is serious now, what is going on? Until one day I realised I had burnt out! Okay, this is really serious now!
I had ignored my body. I wasn’t listening to the signs it was telling me and it had had enough!
Thankfully I’ve turned that around.
